Privacy and cookie statement

BottomRockz cares about your privacy. In this statement you can read which data we collect when you visit bottomrockz.com, why we do so and which rights you have.

Who we are

BottomRockz is responsible for the processing of personal data through this website. Questions about privacy can be sent to us as a message on Instagram.

What data we collect

Contact via Instagram

If you send us a message via Instagram, we only use your message and your username to reply to you. Instagram’s (Meta’s) privacy rules also apply to that message.

Visitor statistics

We keep track of how many people visit the website, which pages are viewed, which website visitors come from, the type of device and the country. We measure this ourselves, without cookies and without third-party services. We do not store IP addresses for this: a visit is only counted anonymously per day, so we cannot recognise or track anyone.

Server logs

Our web server keeps technical logs, including the IP address, the time and the page requested. These are needed to keep the website secure and working, and are automatically deleted after at most 14 days.

Cookies

The website itself does not place any tracking or advertising cookies. The following cookies and techniques may be used:

  • Security (Cloudflare): our website runs through Cloudflare, which protects the site against attacks. Cloudflare may place a functional cookie for this. It is necessary and is not used to track you.
  • YouTube videos: music and videos are shown through YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Only when you play a video may YouTube (Google) place cookies and collect data in accordance with Google’s privacy policy.
  • Fonts: the website’s fonts are loaded through Google Fonts. Google receives your IP address in the process; no cookies are placed.
  • Admin: only those who log in to the admin area of the website receive a functional cookie to stay logged in.

Sharing with others

We never sell your data. We only share it with parties needed to make the website work: our hosting provider, Cloudflare and – when you play a video or load the site – Google/YouTube. Where necessary, we make agreements on security and confidentiality with service providers that process data on our behalf.

Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data, such as a secure connection (https) and protected storage that only administrators can access.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to withdraw your consent and to object to its use. To do so, send us a message on Instagram; we will respond within one month. If you do not agree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

We may update this statement. The date at the top shows when this was last done.
